Two Crows Theatre Company Receives Two Grants
Two Crows Theatre Company is proud to announce it received a grant from
the Sauk County Extension, Arts & Cultural Committee and the Wisconsin Arts Board with
funds from the State of Wisconsin. The money was in support of the production of the
play, "The Thin Place" by Lucas Hnath, which ran two extended weekends in March. The
production was the first to be produced after Two Crows was forced to close after the
pandemic. The funds were used to help re-launch the theatre company and to bring it back
for its premiere winter season.
The Theatre Company also received a grant from River Valley Arts, the local
organization whose purpose is to encourage the arts in Spring Green and the local area, so
they might grow and flourish. Two Crows Theatre received The Eureka! Grant for its New
Play Workshop which was conducted with professional actors and musicians over five
days the first week of April. It is a sweeping musical titled Dear Writer/Dear Actress and
based on the life of Anton Chekhov. The expectation is to bring it into full
production in 2025, or whenever it is fully finished.
We are deeply grateful for the financial support of these local agencies that support the arts.
Thank you.
