  • Lea Branyan

    Harry Clarke: Lighting Designer

    A Number: Lighting Designer

    Lea followed design and theatre work from out west and settled in Spring Green with APT for six seasons. Now her permanent home, she picks up lighting and scenic design work with several local theatre companies. Most recently she designed lighting for River Valley High School’s musical, Mean Girls, and River Valley Players’ production of It’s A Wonderful Life Radio Play. Last season, her scenic and lighting design could also be seen in the Two Crow’s production, A Thin Place.

    Harry Clarke: Philip Brugglestein/Harry Clarke

    Nate Burger is extremely grateful to make his Two Crows debut and to be able to serve the community of Spring Green in winter. He is a core company member at American Players Theatre, where some favorite roles over 13 seasons include: Hamlet, Charlie Conlon, King of Navarre, Torvald Helmer, Camille Chandebise, Septimus Hodge, Mercutio, Cassio, Claudio, Troilus, and many others. In Chicago, his work has been seen onstage at Court, Writers, Chicago Shakespeare, Northlight, Timeline, Goodman, and New Leaf Theatre. Other regional credits include work with Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Forward Theater, and Asolo Repertory Theatre. TV: Emperor of Ocean Park, Shining Girls, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med. Film: The Year Between. Thanks, as always, to Mom, Dad, Erin, Nora, Alicia Pursley, and Kara Ussery. He is a proud graduate of Loyola University Chicago and even prouder husband to Laura Rook.

  • David Cale

    Harry Clarke: Playwright

    David Cale is a monologist, playwright, songwriter and actor. He is the writer and performer of solo works including the Obie Award-winning Lillian, Deep in a Dream of You (Bessie Award), Smooch Music and The Redthroats (Bessie Award). He collaborated with Dael Orlandersmith on the duet show The Blue Album. He wrote the book and lyrics, co-composed the music and starred in the musical Floyd and Clea Under the Western Sky (Outer Critics Circle Award Nomination). His songs have been sung by many artists including Elvis Costello and Debbie Harry. He has acted in plays on and off-Broadway, most recently in Stew and Heidi Rodewald’s The Total Bent, and in films including The Slaughter Rule and Light From Light. Cale’s recent works include the solo play Harry Clarke and his solo musical memoir We’re Only Alive for A Short Amount of Time, for which he wrote the book and lyrics and co-composed the music with Matthew Dean Marsh.

  • Caryl Churchill

    A Number: Playwright

    Caryl Churchill was born on 3 September 1938 in London and grew up in the Lake District and in Montreal. She was educated at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. Downstairs, her first play written while she was still at university, was first staged in 1958 and won an award at the Sunday Times National Union of Students Drama Festival. Caryl Churchill’s plays include: Owners, Traps, Light Shining in Buckinghamshire, Cloud 9, Top Girls, Fen, Serious Money, Ice Cream, Mad Forest, The Skriker, Blue Heart, This is a Chair, Far Away, Drunk Enough To Say I Love You?, Seven Jewish Children, Love & Information, Here We Go and Escaped Alone.     A Number: Salter

    David serves both as an APT Core Company member and APT's Education Director. He is an actor, poet, playwright, director and educator, and is the proud father of three wonderful young men. He has had the privilege of performing with many theaters including Wisconsin's own Milwaukee Chamber Theater, Children's Theatre of Madison and Forward Theater.   • Caitlyn de Araujo

    Harry Clarke: Assistant Stage Manager

    Caitlyn de Araujo is a freelance theatre artist and technician and a bookseller at Arcadia Books. Previous credits include work with American Players Theater, Renaissance Theaterworks, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville and others. She is stoked to join Two Crows for her fourth production.

  • Doug Dion

    A Number: Scenic Designer

    Doug is a happy Spring Green resident that works at APT in the scene shop year round as the Technical Director. He has recently designed scenery with Renaissance Theaterworks in Milwaukee: The Wolves – (2024) and The Nether (2025). He is also a proud volunteer EMT in Spring Green. He wants to thank his lovely wife Katharine for supporting him as he does all of these extra projects, and he wants to thank you for supporting live theater today!

  • Robert R. Doyle

    Harry Clarke: Scenic & Costume Designer

    Robert is a Long Island native who moved to Spring Green in 2014 to work at American Players Theatre. His APT credits include Much Ado About Nothing, Romeo & Juliet, Cyrano de Bergerac, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and The Game of Love & Chance. Other regional credits include: Illinois Shakespeare Festival and Door Shakespeare. Robert founded Two Crows Theatre Company in 2019. He’d like to thank you for the warm welcome back, his mom Betsy for her relentless support, and Rae for “putting up with me.” Cheers!

  • Ben Feiner

    Harry Clarke: Sound Designer

    Ben is a musician, composer, and writer from the Spring Green area. He is the lead guitarist and songwriter for the Violet Palms and currently working on a new electronic solo project. He is delighted to be working with Two Crows again after doing sound design for their 2020 production of Down the Road. He would like to thank Marcus and Rob for giving him this opportunity and Kyle and Lori for their unwavering support.

  • Rivka Kelly*

    A Number: Stage Manager

    Rivka is thrilled to be playing with Two Crows again, previous productions include The Thin Place (2024) and Down The Road (2020). Rivka is a Midwest-based Stage Manager, who can be found at American Players Theatre during the summer. The rest of the year, she can be found at other Midwestern theatres, including at The Guthrie, Forward Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, Skylight Theatre, and Commonweal Theatre. Love to my ever-supportive family, both biological and chosen.

    Nora considers herself “an artist in process” as she continues to grow throughout her personal, professional, and artistic journeys. Nora is passionate about creating, supporting, and capturing artistic and cultural experiences that enrich the lives of diverse audiences and communities. She is thrilled to be able to support this production as both the stage manager and Two Crows business manger. Previous credits include: Lawrence University, Bowdoin International Music Festival, and American Players Theatre. Thank you for supporting the arts!

    Marcus is an actor, director, musician, and writer living in Spring Green, WI. Marcus has been a member of American Players Theatre’s Core Acting Company for 21 seasons. His APT credits include Macbeth, Pride & Prejudice, Death of a Salesman, All My Sons, and Travesties. He’s appeared regionally in the world premiere of Ten Chimneys at Arizona Theatre Co and of Old Glory at Writers’ Theatre. Other regional credits: The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk, Every Brilliant Thing, and Dial M for Murder. Film: One Foot In, Witnesses. Marcus plays Ronald Reagan in Paper Girls on Amazon Prime Video.   • Dee Dee Batteast

    A Number: Director

    Dee Dee Batteast (She / Her) is currently adjunct acting faculty for Ball State’s BFA program. She teaches courses in acting, audition, and one-person shows. She received her MFA in acting from UNC-Chapel Hill. Directing credits include The Thin Place (Gloucester Stage), People Where They Are (Clarence Brown Theatre), The Revolutionists The Conviction of Lady Lorraine(Farmers Alley). Acting credits include work at American Players Theatre, Studio Theatre, at The Goodman, The Clarence Brown Theatre, Virginia Stage Company, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Indiana Repertory Theatre. Television credits include Chicago Fire, The Shining Girls, and Chicago Med.

  • Kaela Wohl

    A Number: Costume Designer

    Kaela worked as a costume designer in NYC for the past 20 years and is very happy to be able to continue designing after moving back home to Wisconsin! Her TV credits include "Last Week Tonight With John Oliver", "Helpsters", "Are We There Yet?", "Inside Amy Schumer", "Human Giant", "Friends of the People", "Kevin Can Wait", and "The Daily Show." Her film credits include "The Skeleton Twins," and "Before I Disappear." She has been nominated for three Emmy awards and one Jerry award.

  • Brian Grimm

    A Number: Sound Designer

    Brian Grimm is a composer, performer, and sound designer based in Wisconsin. Grimm is known for their integrated sound design style and their work as a cellist, bass guitarist, and on Chinese string instruments.
